Your First Website
Your First Website
Although this page refers to a first website, much of what is stated also applies if you are updating or having a complete redesign of your current site.
Before you approach a website developer/company start thinking about your content and graphics. Do you already have a logo, headed paper etc, then you want to make sure your website has the same look and feel. Have you put together an advertisement or flyer? If not put some thought into this first then present it to your website company/developer. Having a clear idea of what you want will help ensure you get it and give your developer a clear idea of your needs.
Now you have an idea of what you need it's time to approach someone or consider doing it yourself. To help you choose, I've put together some questions you should ask yourself. Obviously I have a bias for you to choose me, however I've tried to ensure all the pros and cons are highlighted. If you think I've missed something, let me know, and I'll add it to the list.
I've also put together a few questions you should ask whoever you approach.
